Arosa is situated at 5,940 feet above sea level, at the end of the Schanfigg valley. Due to its location the area is very sunny and sheltered from the wind. There is no through-traffic in Arosa as the village is a cul-de-sac, and car driving is banned from midnight to 6 a.m.

A very wide variety of sport and leisure activities on offer in summer and winter make Arosa an ideal holiday resort. But be warned - Arosa can be addictive!

Bernina Express
Experience a unique train journey across the whole of the canton of Grisons. The train travels through the Albula valley into Engadin, across the Bernina pass to Poschiavo and further on to Tirano in Veltlin.

Experience nature at its best in the unique Maran Alpine garden. This natural paradise is home to unusual wildlife such as the extremely rare "chessboard flower" which has almost disappeared from the Alps region.
